David Friedman, Vice President of Worship
Where are you from originally?
Family? Spouse, children, etc.
My lovely wife Elaine and my equally lovely daughter, Susan. Both are members of Ohev Sholom, and Elaine is on the board of directors.
What do you do now? Job or hobby that occupies your time.
I collect seashells and other mollusks. I also am an avid classical music buff and attend many concerts. For exercise I go on long walks. I love to lead services.
What is something you really care about that helps define who you are?
I believe in compassion for those less fortunate, and that it is our obligation as a society to assure that no one goes without a roof over his head or enough to eat. Unfortunately, we have greatly failed in these areas.
When did you join Ohev?
What do you like about being a member of Ohev, or what makes it special to you?
I appreciate how friendly everyone has been. I like the traditional, but egalitarian services.
