New Book from Jewish War Veterans MO-KAN Post 605

Waiting for me this morning in my In Box at the synagogue offices was a copy of For Those Who Served Our Country: A Tribute to Greater Kansas City’s Jewish Veterans. Hot off the press, this beautiful coffee-table-style volume is the product of our community’s Jewish War Veterans MO-KAN Post 605, several of whose very active members hail from our congregation.

This is the same group, you’ll recall, that each Winter Season produces and delivers well-stuffed gift bags to hundreds of veterans who are either temporarily or permanently receiving care at local veterans’ institutions. Post 605’s Tribute Book was created in partnership with The Jewish Community Foundation of Kansas City, and you may preview and/or purchase the volume here www.jcfkc.org/vets. Please note that MO-KAN Post 605 will celebrate its 70th anniversary at 1:00 pm Sunday, June 24, at the Jewish Community Campus. The public is invited, and copies of the Tribute Book will be available for purchase.

Mazal tov to Post 605 on your anniversary and your new publication. And thank you for your service!
